This is quote is from a book called Keys to Success, written by Napoleon Hill. In my opinion, Napoleon Hill is the best author on personal development, feel free to disagree. In his book, Keys to Success, he outlines many aspects of what makes or break your chances of succeeding in achieving whatever success you desire. For example, he talks about the importance of having and maintaining a positive mental attitude, Self-discipline, accurate thinking and many other very useful topics.

The bottom line is, whether or not you have a sense of where you want to be in life , you will do yourself a great favor by spending $30-$40 on a book that will pay you many times over, in the short and longterm. You can even borrow it at your local library for FREE!

I like to dedicate this quote of the day to a very special Friend of mine who's brother, a very good friend of mine, passed away just recently. I cannot imagine how hard it must be to lose a family member whom you love so dearly considering what it felt like upon hearing the news as a friend. Though he is no longer with us in person, I am sure he is with us in spirit. I know I miss the gentle, enthusiastic and humble nature of J (For privacy, I won't use the full name, I have no permission to do so), on the soccer field, in gym class and around campus, he was always cool tempered. E keep your head up...it is natural to be sad however...keep your head up.

Considering the above, i have come to a realization that we need to be more grateful for today and to take the time to share time with friends and family members because tomorrow cannot be predicted to the "t". Therefore cherishing every moment is the best bet because we can only regret the time we did not spend with friends and family, we cannot get it back.

Here is to a great Friend to many!

This is a quote by a famous grammy winning American soul and R&B singer, India Arie from the song, "Ready for love" from the album "Acoustic Soul." The reason why I choose to use this quote is that it is soo simple but yet taken for granted. Have you ever had a situation where you or a friend say something about their current situation that they know they would really not like to be a reality? Here is what I mean, I have heard friends say things like "I can't afford it, I am poor" or "I want to kill myself." A lot of the time this is meant as just sentences however over time it become like a habit and the they begin to say it over and over again, which eventually leads them to start believe this is the case when it is not. This is because they kept reaffirming this to themselves.

If you are going to say something some much that it becomes your reality, why not let it be something positive and constructive in nature, for example instead of saying "I am poor, I can't afford it", say "I am rich, I can afford it" or instead of "I don't have what it takes" say "I do have what it takes." Don't worry if the above does not make sense, just give it a try in your daily life and you'll see what I mean.

As you keep affirming the positive statements to yourself, you will start to make them a physical part of your reality because you will become very aware of how to make the happen.

The fear of criticism is listed by Napoleon Hill in his personal development book, as one of the major road block to personal achieve. Think about it, if you or anybody else has an inspiration of some action to take, and you have been a victim of past criticism, would you go ahead and carry on with it? At first you most likely said yes, however the fear of criticism is soo great in most situation that most people would rather live within the limits expected of them...now this has many consequences such as: people rob themselves the opportunity to accomplish something great, lack of self confidence and self trust, weak decision making ability and the list goes on and on.

I have to admit, this was something I had the most trouble with but now it is become a minor issue. Improved by making my own decisions after gathering the facts, and by taking the action and then showing the result(s) after.

I think the only thing that separates people who achieve and live their dreams and those who don't is the fact that those who achieve their dreams take action. Here is what I mean, this people let the beauty of their dreams propel them forward into taking action everyday where as the people who don't take any action just sit there going through their day to day life dreaming. What I have found from my experience of reading about, hearing and talking to people is that, taking action everyday moves a person closer and closer to their dreams in one way or the other. For example, new opportunities begin to "appear", you start to meet more people who will help you, get inspire with "tons" of ideas of actions to take daily. The above example from my daily experience. Realizing, I was just a dreamer before, I made a decision that I would pursue my dreams (confidential) and began to take action on a daily basis.

I think the only reason why "dreamers" choose to remain "dreamers" is the fact that they are just too afraid of the risks they will encounter if they decide to just pursue their dreams and let the beauty of it keep them going or maybe that they just don't have faith in their own ability to succeed even though they do not know where to start. Here are a quick sentence I hear from a very famous personal developer, Bob Proctor- every great person who ever accomplish something, never knew how they were going to do it, all they knew was that they were going to do it- In my opinion I think the only way to make the transition from a dreamer to a person of action is by making a firm decision to pursue ones dreams whether or not they know where to
start.

This is a quote I heard on a show I was watching. It was about Highly successful Americans. I found this show to be very interesting mainly because these people are successful people from many walks of life and they only achieved their achievements by show the world their true nature. For example, when questioned about his reputation with the media, the football star, says that it is just in his nature to say things as they are without having to restrict his thinking to the way others want him to think. One major realization for me as a result of watching this show is that, to really give the world what the real you, you really have to break yourself from of having to let others shape your thinking for you or tell you how you should or should not act. The way I see it, it is like cheating the world out of enjoying the talents or whatever it is that is uniquely from you. For the purpose of illustration, take for example the one of the greatest Basketball Player ever, Michael Jordan. Let's say he gave up due to basketball due to negative experiences on his journey to the NBA, due you think millions of athletes, business people, students, and many others will have such a role model to look up to in one way or the other? Just think about this? Who will you be letting down couple of years down the road when you decide not to express your true nature...
