No Goal, No Go, It is that simple....!

No Goal, No Go, It is that simple....!

I once read a great quote,"If you do not know where you are going, any road will take you there." Though i do not know the author of this; i think it does a great job in summarizing the importance of having a sense of direction in ones life.

The definition of a goal is this; a projected state of affairs that a person plans or intends to achieve, or simply put, a goal is something specific and definite a person desires to achieve following a set plan and deadline.

Often the importance of setting a goal is much over looked more than anything else by our society; yet this is a major determining factor in whether or not we are happy or not. What i mean by this is that, we are happy because we living in a type of way(s) that brings us happiness and to achieve such an end we must have a plan to make this way(s) a reality, thus by having goal(s).

Usually the things that will bring us much happiness does not come at a "cheap price," they often come only as a result of much hard work. If you set out to "lose weight" at the beginning of the year as your resolution, more often than not you will end up at exactly the same spot as you once started. (Come to think about it, maybe this the reason why so many people set the same resolution each year).

Why? Like other people, we often set out on a journey without knowing exactly what we want to achieve. In other words, we have to be specific - exactly how much weight do i want to lose? what part of the body do you want to target? - by when do you want to lose that weight? How? This is where the planning comes in.

Side note; if you are looking to lose weight or build muscle take a look at this blog

Moving on....

The bottom line is this...not having a specific goal, a person is destined to the random winds of faith.

I know this only from my personal experience; trust me...if you don't know where you want to be one, three, or five from now... take a moment and start thinking.

Here is something to help you figure things out...Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
